Dr. Kathleen Daly is a 1990 graduate of the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1985. She completed her residency at Oak Forest Hospital and has been in private practice since 1992 and has been at the same location, 10431 S. Kedzie Ave., since that date. She is also the podiatrist for Smith Village and Mercy Circle retirement homes. Mercy Circle is the home for the Sisters of Mercy and recently opened their doors to non-religious residents.Dr. Daly is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine and is a fellow of the American Professional Wound Care Association. She is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and Illinois Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Daly served as a Director at Large for the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association. Dr. Daly has also served on the BAPA Council of Delegates representing the West Beverly Civic Association and is a past president of this community association.
For the past five years, Dr. Daly has also served as the podiatry coordinator for the Chicago portion of the Avon 2 Day Breast Cancer Walk. Prior to being coordinator, she had been a volunteer for the previous 10 years. She and her volunteer podiatrists, podiatry students and podiatric assistants treated more than 300 walkers at the 39-mile, two-day trek that raises funds for the fight against breast cancer. She is also one of the original walkers in the first Beverly Breast Cancer Walk that has now reached into the thousands. She has also volunteered at the PADS shelter in Marquette Park and, along with St. John Fisher Church, ran a sock drive to donate socks to the shelter for the underprivileged in the Winter months.
She is also a runner who participates in group runs with the Running Excels store in Beverly and has completed 8 marathons, 6 of them have been the Chicago Marathon. As an avid athlete, she is knowledgeable in assisting patients with foot problems related to exercise.
Dr. Daly also enjoys reading and keeps a list on a chalkboard in her office of current books patients are reading. It is a mini book club within an office!
Dr. Daly has established a successful practice that offers a full range of podiatric care. The office has undergone a complete remodeling including a new front door and window in 2016.
